Dog Control and Dog Fouling, Proposed Public Space Protection Order Consultation

Dog Control and Dog Fouling, Proposed Public Space Protection Order Consultation

Why are we doing this?: Wrexham County Borough Council plans to change it’s three existing dog control orders – covering regulation on fouling, exclusion zones  and dogs under control by direction   – with a single Public Spaces Protection Order which will cover the whole of the County Borough, due to changes in national legislation. As well as covering areas such as parks, sports pitches and play areas, the new Public Spaces Protection Order could also cover public roads and pavements.
What do we want to know?:

The Council wants to hear from residents and visitors, to find out their views on the management of dogs in public spaces. If you could answer the questions, this will help us decide which is the best approach to the creation of the proposed Public Spaces Protection Order.

We have provided some frequently asked questions to provide some background information for this survey. The consultation will run from the 21st March until 26th June 2016 . Wrexham County Borough Councillors will consider the results of the consultation before deciding on what approach to take.

Consultation start date 21 March 2016
Consultation end date 26 June 2016
