Public Consultation Questionnaire Additional Licensing Scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation in the County Borough of Wrexham

10th May 2021 to 18th July 2021  (10 weeks)

Wrexham County Borough Council is proposing to continue Additional Licensing to cover all Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) in the County Borough.

There are two seperate licences required for HMOs which are not exempt from needing a licence:

Mandatory Licences - HMOs with 3 or more persons present with 2 or more households in a 3 or more storey property. 

Additional Licences - These are all other HMOs apart from those needing a Mandatory Licence.

This public consultation document explains the Council’s proposal, how the scheme would work and the continued benefits of operating such a scheme. Anyone completing this questionnaire should read the consultation document to familiarize themselves with the proposed scheme.  

The results of this questionnaire will enable the Council to ensure that the Additional Licensing scheme addresses any concerns you may have.
